Detail Eligibility for the UPSC Civil Services IAS/IFS Exam 2023

Age Limit: To be eligible for the UPSC Civil Services IAS Exam, candidates must be between 21 and 32 years of age  on dated 1st August 2023. Age relaxations are provided to certain categories such as Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates UPSC Civil Services Exam are given a maximum age limit of 37 years. Physically disabled candidates may also be eligible for age relaxation, up to a maximum of 10 years.

Educational Qualifications: The compulsory educational qualification for UPSC Civil Services IAS Exam should be  Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university .Final year students who are appearing for Bachelor’s degree exam may also apply, but they criteria to  pass the exam before the Main Examination of UPSC.Nationality Requirements: Only Indian citizens are eligible for the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Persons of Indian origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) holders, and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) are not eligible to apply for the exam.
