🧪 How Does It Work?

Here’s how the FLAMES game and calculator works:

  1. Input Two Names
    You start by entering two names (usually a boy’s and a girl’s, but it can be anyone).
  2. Remove Common Letters
    Each letter that appears in both names is canceled out. The remaining (unmatched) letters are counted.
  3. Count Remaining Letters
    The total number of unmatched letters is used to calculate the FLAMES result.
  4. Apply to FLAMES Logic
    Starting with the word FLAMES, the calculator cycles through the letters and eliminates one based on the total count, repeating this process until only one letter remains.
  5. Display the Result
    The last remaining letter determines the predicted relationship between the two names.

Example

Name 1: Alex
Name 2: Emma

Unmatched letters: A, L, X, M (after canceling out common ‘E’)

Total = 4

Now the FLAMES logic is applied using this number, and the result could be, for example: Affection.
